VIRTUAL VISITS (“telemedicine/telehealth”)

Like the idea of not having to leave your home (or office) to complete a healthcare visit?

We like the idea of our patients having access to convenient care… like when they’re having a UTI or a yeast infection, no need to spend hours at a walk-in-clinic, instead, REACH OUT TO THE CLINIC AND WE’LL WORK TO SQUEEZE YOU IN FOR AN “URGENT VISIT” DURING THE WEEK (SORRY, WE’RE NOT OPEN ON THE WEEKENDS).

OR, FOR A ROUTINE APPOINTMENT/FOLLOW UP, SCHEDULE IT FOR A CONVENIENT TIME FOR COMPLETING the visit FROM THE CONVENIENCE OF YOUR home, office, or car, if needed.

YOU WILL BE EMAILED THE INSTRUCTIONS/LINK FOR THE TELEVISIT.

To determine if your insurance covers telemedicine, please visit our insurance page for details.

for returning patients the CPT code is typically a 99215 or 99214 with a “GT” modifier.

For new patients, the CPT code is typically a 99204 or 99205 (depending on condition and time), again with a “GT” modifier.

For Mental Health visits seeing our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, initials visits typically involved an additional billing code of 99417, for prolonged visits, as the provider will need to review previous medical records, medications, labs, screenings, and more, so the provider spends more time on the patient care plan than just the time during the visit.

If you are an existing patient of SWMC for women’s health, when you see our Mental Health provider, your insurance will be billed as an “existing patient”, not a new patient.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that your plan covers these visits, so it is your responsibility to contact your insurance company to confirm coverage.

If you are self-pay patient (uninsured), you will be billed at time of visit.

Details/Links to Your Televisit

those will be sent to you via the email you used to make your appointment (the email affiliated with your patient portal), it is sent out automatically 3 days prior to your scheduled visit.

Please make sure to check your email for those details, including junk mail.

Our EHR (electronic health record) system uses a HIPAA compliant ZOOM feature, so if you’re familiar with ZOOM, it should be rather straightforward.

PLEASE NOTE: All patients who come on site for care must have COVID-19 vaccinations, to ensure the safety of our staff and patient population.
